World of Warcraft's upcoming Patch 11.1, "Undermined," introduces the subterranean Goblin capital, Undermine. But the expansion goes further, adding several new subzones to the game world.
Key additions include Gutterville and Kaja'Coast. Gutterville, a corrupted area within the Ringing Deeps, features Excavation Site 9 and appears connected to Undermine's corrupted section. Meanwhile, Kaja'Coast, a new Goblin encampment near Zuldazar's Bilgewater Bonanza, also seems linked to the main Undermine zone.
Expanding the Undermine Experience:
The core of Patch 11.1 is Undermine, a sprawling underground city packed with Goblin ingenuity. However, data mining reveals more than just this central location. Two significant subzones are planned:
Gutterville: Situated in the Ringing Deeps' southeastern corner, this area, marked by a distinctive maroon hue suggesting Black Blood corruption, houses Excavation Site 9, one of the patch's new Delves. It's highly probable this serves as an entry point to Undermine.
Kaja’Coast: Located in Zuldazar, near the familiar Bilgewater Bonanza, this Goblin settlement is another likely access point to Undermine. It's speculated to be the location of the drill-like tram showcased in the initial Patch 11.1 announcement.
More Than Meets the Eye:
The discovered map of Undermine itself shows a central hub, Slam Central Station, with five apparent terminals. Given Gutterville and Kaja'Coast likely represent two of these, the possibility of three additional, as-yet-unrevealed Goblin-themed areas remains.
Timeline and PTR Access:
While a firm release date for Patch 11.1 is pending (estimates point to mid-to-late February), players can anticipate early January access to the Public Test Realm (PTR), allowing for firsthand exploration of these new locations.
