Following the release of Dynasty Warriors: Origins, Koei Tecmo unleashes another exciting title, Warriors: Abyss, a fresh take on the musou genre. This new roguelite, featuring beloved characters from the Warriors series, is available now.
Showcased during today's PlayStation State of Play, Warriors: Abyss offers an isometric perspective, reminiscent of Diablo and Hades, allowing players to assemble a squad and battle hordes of enemies. The gameplay footage revealed characters like Zhou Yu, Nobunaga Oda, and Sun Shang Xiang, battling demonic forces in a "hellish" landscape.
According to the PlayStation Blog, players can recruit and add characters to their team, unlocking unique summoning abilities. Battles utilize up to seven active heroes, with 100 warriors available at launch. Koei Tecmo plans to expand the roster, adding characters from the Jin kingdom in Dynasty Warriors, and hinting at future additions from beyond the Warriors franchise.
Warriors: Abyss is currently available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. A Nintendo Switch release is scheduled for February 13, 2025. Players who purchase the game before March 14, 2025, will receive an in-game Dynasty Warriors Costume Set.
