Warzone Shotgun Disabled: Temporary Measure Implemented

Call of Duty: Warzone's Reclaimer 18 Shotgun Temporarily Removed

The popular Reclaimer 18 shotgun has been temporarily deactivated in Call of Duty: Warzone. The sudden removal, announced via official Call of Duty channels, has left players speculating about the cause.

Warzone boasts an extensive arsenal, constantly expanding with weapons from new Call of Duty titles. This vast selection presents balancing challenges, as weapons designed for one game may prove overpowered or problematic in Warzone's diverse environment. Maintaining balance across a wide range of weapons and attachments is a significant undertaking for developers.

The Reclaimer 18, a semi-automatic shotgun from Modern Warfare 3, is the latest weapon affected. The official announcement offered no explanation for its removal or a return date. Inspired by the real-world SPAS-12, the Reclaimer 18's popularity has made its temporary absence noticeable.

Player Speculation and Reactions

The lack of detail surrounding the removal has fueled player speculation. Some suggest a problematic "glitched" blueprint, potentially offering unfair advantages. Videos and images circulating online seem to support claims of unusual weapon lethality.

Reactions to the temporary disabling are varied. Many players applaud the developers' proactive approach to addressing potential imbalances, particularly the potentially overpowered dual-wielding setup enabled by the JAK Devastators aftermarket parts. Some even suggest reconsidering these attachments. While the "akimbo shotgun" tactic evokes nostalgia for some, others found it frustrating to face in-game.

However, other players express disappointment, arguing the removal is overdue. Since the problematic blueprint is part of a paid Tracer Pack, they claim this creates unintended "pay-to-win" scenarios. Calls for more rigorous testing before releasing paid content are prominent.
