Zenless Zone Zero Tier List: December 24, 2024

HoYoverse's Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ) boasts a diverse cast of characters, each with unique mechanics and synergistic potential. This tier list ranks all available Agents in ZZZ version 1.1, reflecting the current meta. Note that tier lists are dynamic and subject to change with new content and balance updates.

Updated December 24, 2024, by Nahda Nabiilah: The meta constantly evolves. For example, Grace, initially a top performer, has diminished in relevance due to the introduction of numerous powerful Anomaly units, particularly the overpowered Miyabi. This updated list reflects these shifts.

S-Tier

S-Tier Agents S-Tier Agents are top-performing units excelling in their roles and synergizing effectively within teams.

  • Miyabi: Exceptional Frost damage dealer. Requires strategic play to maximize her devastating potential.

Miyabi

  • Jane Doe: Superior to Piper, delivering significantly higher Assault Anomaly damage. While Anomaly units are generally slower, her potent Assault capabilities place her among the top DPS.

Jane Doe

  • Yanagi: Excels at triggering Disorder, a crucial effect even without applying Shock. Ideal teammate for Miyabi.

Yanagi

  • Zhu Yuan: High-damage DPS using Shot Shells. Synergizes well with Stun and Support Agents, particularly Qingyi and Nicole in version 1.1.

Zhu Yuan

  • Caesar: Exceptional defensive support, providing substantial buffs, debuffs, and crowd control. Scales with Impact, enabling easy stuns.

Caesar

  • Qingyi: Versatile Stunner effective in any team with an Attack Agent. Applies significant DMG multipliers to stunned enemies.

Qingyi

  • Lighter: Stun Agent with notable buffs, best suited for Fire and Ice teams.

Lighter

  • Lycaon: Ice-based Stunner, enhancing Ice Anomaly reactions and reducing enemy Ice resistance. Essential for Ice teams.

Lycaon

  • Ellen: Ice-elemental Attack Agent, synergizing exceptionally well with Lycaon and Soukaku.

Ellen

  • Harumasa: Electric Attack Agent (initially a free reward). Requires specific build optimization for maximum damage.

Harumasa

  • Soukaku: Support Agent providing Ice buffs, particularly beneficial for Ice teams.

Soukaku

  • Rina: Support Agent dealing damage and providing PEN (defense ignore) buffs, especially beneficial for Electric teams.

Rina

A-Tier

A-Tier Agents A-Tier Agents are strong in specific team compositions but generally perform well in their roles.

  • Nicole: Ether Support, increasing Ether DMG and reducing enemy DEF. Most effective with Ether DPS units.

Nicole

  • Seth: Shielder and support, but less impactful than top-tier buffers like Soukaku and Caesar.

Seth

  • Lucy: Support unit with off-field DMG and ATK% buffs. Synergy with other characters enhances her DPS.

Lucy

  • Piper: Her EX Special Attack is a standout, but her overall kit is less versatile than S-Tier options.

Piper

  • Grace: Strong Anomaly builder, but less impactful compared to newer Anomaly Agents.

Grace

  • Koleda: Reliable Fire/Stun unit, synergizing well with other Fire characters.

Koleda

  • Anby: Reliable Stunner, but easily interrupted compared to others in her class.

Anby

  • Soldier 11: Straightforward Fire-infused Attack unit, dealing high damage but lacking strategic depth.

Soldier 11

B-Tier

B-Tier Agents B-Tier Agents have some utility, but are outperformed by others in their roles.

  • Ben: Defensive character with parry mechanics, but limited team benefits and slow combat speed.

Ben

  • Nekomata: AoE damage dealer reliant on team support, currently lacking optimal synergy.

Nekomata

C-Tier

C-Tier Agents C-Tier Agents currently offer limited contributions compared to other options.

  • Corin: Physical Attack unit outperformed by Nekomata and Piper.

Corin

  • Billy: Attack unit with limited damage output compared to other DPS options.

Billy

  • Anton: Electric Attack unit with interesting mechanics but low DPS and single-target focus.
