Final Fantasy XVI's PC Debut: September 17th

Square Enix has officially announced that the acclaimed Final Fantasy XVI will launch on PC on September 17th. This announcement suggests a positive trajectory for future PC releases, with the director hinting at potential simultaneous multi-platform launches.

The PC version will be available for $49.99, with a Complete Edition at $69.99, including the "Echoes of the Fallen" and "The Rising Tide" story expansions. A playable demo is currently available, offering a glimpse into the prologue and a combat-focused "Eikonic Challenge" mode. Demo progress carries over to the full game.

In an interview with Rock Paper Shotgun, FFXVI Director Hiroshi Takai highlighted the PC version's enhanced capabilities: "We've increased the frame rate cap to 240fps, and you can choose from various upscaling technologies such as NVIDIA DLSS3, AMD FSR, and Intel XeSS."
