Killing Floor 3 Release Date Postponed Further into 2025 After Closed Beta Disappoints

Killing Floor 3 Delayed to Later in 2025

Tripwire Interactive, the developer behind the highly anticipated co-op zombie shooter Killing Floor 3 (KF3), announced a significant delay on March 7th, 2025. The game, initially slated for release on March 25th, will now launch at an unspecified date later in 2025. This decision follows a closed beta test that received overwhelmingly negative feedback.

Disappointing Beta Results Lead to Delay

Tripwire's Bluesky post acknowledged the shortcomings of the beta, stating that the team "missed the mark." The post highlighted key areas needing improvement, including performance and stability, user interface/user experience (UI/UX), lighting, and weapon feel. The developer emphasized their commitment to delivering a game that lives up to the franchise's legacy while pushing the boundaries of the series.

Player feedback was harsh, with many criticizing the game's clunkiness, numerous glitches, and departure from the series' established horror elements in favor of a more futuristic sci-fi aesthetic. Concerns were also raised about the character/class selection system implemented during the beta. One Reddit user, Captain_Pugman, poignantly questioned whether the developers had forgotten what made the Killing Floor series special.

Tripwire concluded their announcement by promising a more polished version of KF3 and assuring fans they would be the first to know when further details are available.
