The much-anticipated Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 has faced yet another delay, now setting its sights on an October 2025 release. This news comes directly from the game's official Twitter (X) account, accompanied by a video update from Bloodlines 2 Executive Producer Marco Behrmann. In the video, Behrmann shares that the game is essentially complete but the team is now focusing on bug fixing, stability, and performance enhancements to ensure a top-notch experience for players upon release.
Paradox Interactive, the game's publisher, has been keeping the community engaged through regular Dev Diaries, detailing the game's characters, stories, and mechanics. However, to shift their full attention to polishing the game, all future Dev Diaries will be put on hold.
First unveiled in March 2019 with an initial release target of March 2020, Bloodlines 2 was initially developed by Hardsuit Labs. The first delay came in October 2019, pushing the release to an unspecified date within 2020. Subsequent delays saw the game's launch date shift to 2021. Amidst these setbacks, several key team members departed from the project.
In a significant development in February 2021, Paradox Interactive announced that Hardsuit Labs would no longer be involved in the game's development. The project was handed over to The Chinese Room, who aimed to release the game in late 2024. However, this was further postponed to the first half of 2025 and now, the latest delay has it scheduled for October 2025.
When it finally launches, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 will be available across multiple platforms, including PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. To keep up with the latest updates and news about the game, be sure to check out our detailed articles below!
