Player Compensation and Final Updates

Blue Protocol Global Release Canceled as Japan Servers Close DownBandai Namco's announcement confirms the end of Blue Protocol service in Japan on January 18, 2025, effectively cancelling the planned worldwide release with Amazon Games. The company cited its inability to provide a satisfactory long-term service as the reason for this decision.

In an official statement, Bandai Namco expressed regret, acknowledging the shortfall in meeting player expectations. They also stated their disappointment at the inability to continue global development with Amazon Games.

Until the game's closure, Bandai Namco will continue to release updates and new content. Rose Orb purchases and refunds will be discontinued, but players will receive 5,000 Rose Orbs monthly (starting September 2024) and 250 daily. The Season 9 pass and subsequent season passes will be free, and Chapter 7, the final update, is slated for December 18, 2024.

Blue Protocol Global Release Canceled as Japan Servers Close DownLaunched in Japan in June 2023, Blue Protocol initially attracted a large player base, exceeding 200,000 concurrent players. However, early server issues and subsequent player dissatisfaction led to a decline in player numbers.

Despite its promising start, the game failed to meet Bandai Namco's financial projections, as noted in their March 31, 2024 financial report, ultimately leading to the decision to end service.
